The World

UPRIGHT

A figure dances within a wreath of laurel, the four living creatures at the corners — bull, lion, eagle, angel — completing the corners of the cosmos. The World is the completion of the cycle the Fool began, the integration of every lesson the Major Arcana taught. The card is rare, and it is earned.

REVERSED

Reversed, the World is the cycle nearly closed but not quite — the last small piece refused, the integration almost reached and then dropped. The card can name a person on the threshold of a real completion who steps back from it out of fear of what comes next. The dance is paused, not ended; the wreath waits.
