Wheel of Fortune
UPRIGHT
The Wheel turns in the heavens with the four living creatures at its corners — the bull, the lion, the eagle, the angel — each reading from their book. Fortune is mounted on the wheel, but so is misfortune, and the card names the great turning by which one becomes the other. To draw it is to be told that a cycle is shifting whether the querent is ready or not.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Wheel is the turn fought against, or fortune mistaken for permanence. The card can warn of clinging to a season already ending, or of bitterness when the wheel takes back what it once gave. It can also name a small, frustrating loop in which the querent keeps arriving at the same place because they have not yet learned what the turning was trying to teach.
