Two of Swords
UPRIGHT
A blindfolded woman sits before the sea, two crossed swords held against her chest, a crescent moon overhead. The Two of Swords is stalemate, the refusal to look, the decision postponed because both options ask something the querent does not want to give. The card asks how long the blindfold can stay on.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Two of Swords is the blindfold lifted, sometimes by choice and sometimes by force. The card can name the moment the querent finally looks at what they have been avoiding, or the harder moment when the choice is taken out of their hands by someone unwilling to wait any longer.
