Three of Wands
UPRIGHT
A figure stands on a clifftop watching ships sail out across a golden sea, three staves rooted in the ground around him. The Three of Wands is the venture launched — the work begun, the partnerships made, the patient watching of what one has sent into the world to do its work. The waiting now is active, not passive.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Three of Wands is the ships delayed, or the figure unable to step back from the cliff and let the venture run on its own. The card can name unrealistic expectations of return, a tendency to micro-manage what should be trusted to its own course, or the small bitter knowledge that the wind is not yet favorable.
