Ten of Wands
UPRIGHT
A figure stoops under the weight of ten staves carried in his arms, the town visible just ahead. The Ten of Wands is burden — the success that became a load, the responsibilities that piled up because the querent kept saying yes. The town is close; the question is what can be set down before arrival.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Ten of Wands is the burden refused or finally released — sometimes well, sometimes badly. The card can name a person who has dropped the staves in a heap and walked away without sorting them, or one who has begun the harder work of handing each stave to its rightful owner.
