The Sun
UPRIGHT
A child rides a white horse beneath a face-bearing sun, a red banner streaming behind, sunflowers tall along the wall. The Sun is plain, uncomplicated joy — vitality, clarity, the warmth that asks nothing back. After the Moon's ambiguities, the Sun is the day arrived. Whatever was hidden is now visible, and what is visible is good.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Sun is joy diminished but not extinguished — clouds across the face of the disk rather than the disk gone out. The card can name a temporary loss of optimism, success that has not landed as expected, or vitality drained by overwork. The remedy is small and physical: sunlight, food, the company of a person who is glad to see the querent.
