The Star
UPRIGHT
A naked woman kneels by the pool, pouring water from two pitchers — one onto the land, one back into the water — beneath a great star and seven smaller ones. The Star is hope after the Tower's collapse, the quiet refilling of the well, the faith that survives because it has been stripped of everything inessential. The card is calm and rare.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Star is hope withheld or faith gone dim. The card can name a person who has lost the larger light by which they used to navigate, or one whose hope has curdled into wishful thinking with no ground beneath it. The remedy is the small honest pour — one pitcher, one slow return to the water.
