Six of Wands
UPRIGHT
A rider crowned with laurel processes through a crowd, a wreath tied to his staff, the people raising their own staves in greeting. The Six of Wands is public recognition — the victory acknowledged, the work seen, the procession after the contest is won. The card honors success that is allowed to be visible.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Six of Wands is the recognition withheld, or success that has gone to the rider's head. The card can name the burnout that follows a long campaign for approval, the suspicion that one's victory was hollow, or a private resentment that the procession is moving past one's own door.
