Seven cups float in cloud, each holding a different vision — a head, a serpent, a castle, jewels, a wreath, a dragon, a veiled figure. A silhouette stands beneath, unable to choose. The Seven of Cups is the paralysis of too many possibilities, the seduction of the imagined over the actual, the dreamer who must finally pick one cup.

REVERSED

Reversed, the Seven of Cups is the choice finally made, or the visions seen clearly for what they are — some real, some illusion. The card can name a person stepping out of fantasy into the harder satisfaction of a single committed direction, or one still chasing the most glittering cup at the cost of the most nourishing.
