MAJOR ARCANA
I · Major Arcana
The Magician
UPRIGHT
The Magician stands at his table with wand, cup, sword, and pentacle laid out — all four suits, the whole material world within reach of his hand. One arm lifts to heaven, the other points to earth: as above, so below. He is the rune of will joined to skill, of the moment when intention finally has the tools and the focus to become a thing.
REVERSED
Reversed, the Magician is power misused or talent left on the table. The card can mark manipulation, sleight-of-hand offered as honest dealing, charm turned into a weapon. More gently, it speaks to the querent's own scattered focus — the four tools on the table, no hand picking any of them up.
