Justice
UPRIGHT
Justice sits between two pillars with the sword raised in one hand and the scales balanced in the other, her gaze level and her crown plain. She is consequence — the lawful return of action upon its actor, the accounting that arrives in time. The card honors fairness as a principle older than any court, and asks the querent to act as if it were true even when the world makes it hard to believe.
REVERSED
Reversed, Justice is the scales tipped, the sword used to cut where it had no business cutting. The card can mark a verdict the querent finds unjust, a consequence dodged that is still owed, or a self-judgment far harsher than the facts warrant. The remedy is honest accounting, including of the parts the querent has been protecting from their own view.
