MAJOR ARCANA
II · Major Arcana
The High Priestess
UPRIGHT
The High Priestess sits between the black pillar and the white, the veil of pomegranates drawn behind her, the scroll of the Torah half-hidden in her lap. She is the keeper of what is known but not yet spoken — intuition, the inner library, the wisdom that arrives without argument. The card asks for stillness, not action; for listening, not deciding.
REVERSED
Reversed, the High Priestess is intuition ignored or the inner voice drowned out by external noise. The card can name secrets weaponized rather than honored, knowledge withheld from those who needed it, or a person performing depth they have not actually done the work to earn. The remedy is silence long enough to hear what was being said.
