Eight staves fly through open sky above a clear landscape, all moving in the same direction. The Eight of Wands is swift motion — news arriving, projects accelerating, the sudden alignment of forces toward a single destination. The card promises speed but says nothing about steering.

REVERSED

Reversed, the Eight of Wands is motion stalled or motion that has scattered. The card can name delays in communication, news that fails to arrive, or, conversely, a barrage of incoming so disorderly that nothing can be acted on. The remedy is to slow down enough to let one staff land before reaching for the next.
